Jessica Zamek

 

A native of Maine, Ms. Zamek gained her first musical experiences through her church responsibilities. She received her undergraduate training from the University of Maine and Western Connecticut State University where she studied both jazz and classical voice. Ms. Zamek pursued graduate studies in Opera at the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford and has also studied with vocal coaches and instructors at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. 

  

Jazz Performance Experience:

  

At Western Connecticut State University Jessica was the featured vocalist with the University Big Band in addition to being featured with various jazz combos and duos off campus. 

  

Classical Performance Experience:

  

Past operatic roles have included "Jenny Slade" in Robert Ward's Roman Fever, "Despina" in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutti, and "Monitor" in Puccini's Suor Angelica.  Past scenes have included "Carolina" in Cimarosa's Il Matrimonio Segreto, "Susannah" in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, and "Manon" in Massanet's Manon. Ms. Zamek has been a featured soloist with the Newtown (CT) Chorale Society and at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church in downtown Hartford.
