In lessons a strong emphasis is placed on healthy vocal production, music theory, and overall musicianship.  Students are required to record each of their lessons so that they may refer to them during the week. No recording equipment is provided so students must bring their own recording device to the lesson. 

Students are also encouraged to keep a journal of their practice sessions, vocal progress, and/or concerns.  Students are given the opportunity to perform in the two studio recitals presented each year.
